Robber strikes at SuperAmerica station

The SuperAmerica station at 400 Fourth St. S.E. in Rochester was robbed early today by a man who demanded cash and was holding something in his hand, though the clerk couldn't tell if it was a firearm.

Rochester police said the man came into the store when no one was there except a clerk. The man demanded the money, got an undisclosed amount and fled east on foot. The report came in at 1:12 a.m.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s, about 6-feet-2 inches tall, weighing 170 to 200 pounds. The man had a goatee and was wearing a blue, hooded jacket and tan work gloves.
