An attempted robbery was foiled when a clerk at Perkins North in Rochester yelled "robbery" after a man demanded money about 2 p.m. Sunday.
Rochester police said the man loitered in the lobby of the restaurant at 432 16th Ave. N.W. until most customers had left. He then walked up to the counter and handed the hostess a note demanding money and saying he was armed.
The woman yelled "robbery," and the man fled, leaving the note behind.
