Robert Alan Olaf Garson Sr. -- Austin

AUSTIN -- Robert Alan Olaf Garson Sr., 74, of Apache Junction, Ariz., and formerly a longtime resident of Austin, died July 14, 2005, in Mesa, Ariz., of an acute illness.

Mr. Garson was born May 1, 1931, in International Falls, Minn. He was a truck driver and lived in Austin until moving to Apache Junction in 2003.

Survivors include three daughters, Jennifer Garson and Kristin Garson, both of Austin, and Kelly Garson of Pine Island; three sons, Chris Neis of Minneapolis, Robert Garson Jr., and Nicholas Garson, both of Austin; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Harvey of Virginia, Minn., and Ronnie of Duluth, Minn.; and a sister, Judy Hardin of Florida. He was preceded in death by a grandson and a sister.

Arrangements are pending with Worlein Funeral Home of Austin.
