LeROY -- The funeral for Roby I. Storlie will be 11 a.m. Friday at Saetersdal Lutheran Church in York Township, Fillmore County, with the Rev. Linda Johnson-Prestholt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Storlie, 77, of LeRoy, a homemaker, died Tuesday (Aug. 27, 2002) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Roby Isabel Comstock was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Sumner Township, Fillmore County, and attended country school through the eighth grade. On Nov. 22, 1941, she married Irving Storlie and they farmed in York Township. Mr. Storlie died in 1977. She enjoyed being on the farm, flowers, crocheting and raising chickens.
Survivors include four sons, Gordon of New Hampton, Iowa, Roger (Ann) of Wykoff, Darrell (Sue) of Lime Springs, Iowa, and Larry (Lyn) of Caledonia; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and two sisters, Edith (Kenneth) Shaw of Ostrander and Marcet (Laverne "Bud") Wendt of Spring Valley. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, five brothers and three half sisters.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home in Spring Valley and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
