Rochester man, 22, arrested as part of drug investigation

A 22-year-old Rochester man was arrested Friday as part of a drug investigation by U.S. postal officials.

Police Sgt. Mike Sadauskis said members of the Rochester emergency response unit aided in executing a search warrant at a home in the 1300 block of Fourth Avenue Southeast.

Sadauskis said the man was taken into custody for allegedly trafficking methamphetamine. Sadauskis said the the U.S. Postal Service will handle the case.

Jeanne Grapmann, a postal service inspector, declined comment Friday. She said more information may be available Monday, either from the inspections service or from the U.S. Attorney's office.

The arrest occurred about 5 p.m. Friday.
