Rochester teams place at state racquetball tourney

Rochester was represented by 14 adult racquetball players at the 2004 Minnesota State Doubles Championships, which were held at the Nov. 12-14 at the Highway 100 Northwest Athletic Club in Brooklyn Center.

Two Rochester teams won division championships; Ryan Jacobs and Tony Buckley won the Junior A division, and Stacey Rud and Kevin Kleist won the Mixed B title.

Finishing runnerup in their division were: Ryan Jacobs and Pam Sinicrope in Mixed A division; Greg Liebfried and Mary Ann Jacobs in Mixed 30-plus.

Four Rochester teams finished as consolation champs: Cheryl Jones and Gary Jones in Mixed 30-plus; Cheryl Jones and Stacey Rud in Women's A; Bob Horstmann and Kevin Kleist in Men's Age B/C; George Selke and Brian Nett in Men's 40-plus.

Other participants from Rochester were Cheri Selke, Wendy Miller, Jim Roth, Kevin Thovson and Mike Jacobs.
