Bail has been set at $100,000 for a 28-year-old Rochester man facing charges for two alleged assaults involving the same victim.
Patrick John Dion, no street address, was arraigned in Olmsted District Court on Wednesday. He returns to court Nov. 24.
The first complaint charges him with third-degree assault resulting in substantial bodily harm to a woman in mid-September, when he allegedly threw her to the ground and she lost consciousness and suffered a broken shoulder. He also is charged with misdemeanor domestic assault in that complaint.

The second complaint charges him with first-degree aggravated robbery, making terroristic threats, domestic assault by strangulation, and two counts of misdemeanor domestic assault, all on Oct. 30.
The 26-year-old victim said she was at work when Dion assaulted her. She said they had just broken up a few days earlier and that she is two months pregnant. She said she was about to eat when Dion charged into the room, grabbed her by the throat and pinned her down, restricting her breathing. She said he hit her and demanded cash. She said she curled up, covering her purse, and removed money. She said he grabbed it and left, saying, "This ain’t over."
