Rockets off to fast start

Rochester John Marshall continued its surprisingly fast start Tuesday with a 4-3 Big Nine Conference boys tennis win over Rochester Century at the Rochester Outdoor Tennis Courts.

John Marshall picked up a key win at No. 1 doubles from Sagar Chowdhury and Shaun Snider. They downed Kevin Huss and Alex LaForgia 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 after trailing 4-3 in the final set.

"You've got to give JM's doubles team a lot of credit," Century coach Kevin Allen said. "They stuck in there and gritted it out. They stayed focused and sharp, and that decided the match."

JM moves to 5-2 overall. Century slipped to 1-2.
