Rodger William Peterson -- Claremont

CLAREMONT -- A memorial service for Rodger William Peterson will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Claremont, with the Rev. Tammy Rider officiating.

Mr. Peterson, 60, of Claremont, a machinist, died Friday evening (Sept. 19, 2003) in the emergency room of Owatonna Hospital.

Born Dec. 9, 1942, in Duluth, he moved with his family to Carlton, Minn., and later to Barnum, Minn. Mr. Peterson had lived in southern Minnesota the past 14 years and was a machinist at Truth Hardware Corp. in Owatonna. He married Jane Anderson, and they were later divorced. On Dec. 22, 2001, he married Janet Menter in Claremont. His interests included horse races, casinos, working on cars and fishing.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tammy (James) Krohn of Waseca, Minn., three sons, Jack of Claremont, Scott (Lynn) of Barnum and Gene of Duluth; a stepdaughter, Tina Moore of Claremont; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Henry of Newport, Tenn., and Jerry (Sandy) of Estherville, Iowa. His parents preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Dodge Center and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
