ROCHESTER — Romona M. Warras, 94, of Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., died March 4, 2008. Mrs. Warras visited Mayo Clinic every year for 53 years and developed many close friendships with people in Rochester.
She was born Oct. 24, 1913, in Michigan City, Ind. She had a 42-year career with General Motors, retiring in 1978 as personnel supervisor for the Design Staff.
She is survived by four stepchildren, 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, a nephew, and many stepnieces and stepnephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo A. Warras, three stepchildren and a brother.
Services for Mrs. Warras were held March 8 at A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Grosse Pointe Woods.
