Ronald Robert Ash — Rochester

ROCHESTER — A funeral service for Ronald Robert Ash will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester; the Rev. Bruce Buller will officiate. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Ash, 54, died Thursday (Nov. 27, 2008) in his home after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on March 2, 1954. His family moved to Rochester when Mr. Ash was still young. He graduated from John Marshall High School and attended the Rochester Area Vocational Institute.

He married Cheryl Cloutier on Nov. 23, 1974, in Rochester. He worked as a custodian for the Congregational Church United Church of Christ in Rochester for a number of years. His hobbies included outdoors activities such as fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Michael (fiancee Megan Irish) and Mark, both of Rochester; his mother, Alice Ash of Rochester; and a brother, Randy (Jody) of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
