ROCHESTER -- A memorial service for Ruth C. Davis will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Earth Center Room at Assisi Heights Community Center.
Mrs. Davis, 92, of Rochester, died Thursday (June 5, 2003) at Seasons Hospice.
Ruth Clifford was born Jan. 10, 1911, in Greencastle, Ind., and graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis in 1931. In 1937 she married Dr. George D. Davis in Indianapolis. They moved to Rochester in 1949, when Dr. Davis joined the Mayo Clinic staff as a cardiovascular radiologist. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and volunteered for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Tom of Rochester and Mike of Wabasha; a daughter, Sue Davis Schreurs (Kevin) of Rochester; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
Johnson Funeral Home Services is in charge of arrangements.
