Ruth E. Wachholz — Rochester

ROCHESTER — The funeral for Ruth E. Wachholz will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church-Silo, near Lewiston, with the Rev. William Meilner officiating. Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Miss Wachholz, 87, of Rochester, formerly of Lewiston, died Monday (Nov. 6, 2006) at Saint Anne Extended Healthcare in Winona.

Ruth Emma Wachholz was born Sept. 29, 1919, in Winona County. She graduated from Lewiston High School and then moved to Rochester. She was employed by AT&T for 35 years as a telephone operator. She spent most of her life in Rochester. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church-Silo.

Survivors include a brother, Earl Wachholz of rural Lewiston. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the church.


Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Winona is in charge of arrangements.
