AUSTIN -- The funeral for Ruth Jane Folie will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church in Austin with the Rev. Harold Deye officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
Mrs. Folie, 61, of Austin, died Saturday afternoon (Aug. 17, 2002) at her home.
Ruth Jane Olson was born April 21, 1941, in Austin. She attended school in Albert Lea, graduating from Albert Lea High School in 1960. On June 23, 1962, she married David Folie at Grace Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. They made their home in Owatonna for about one year before moving to Austin. Mrs. Folie was employed at Country Side Inn and the Holiday Inn in the housekeeping department, and for the past 12 years worked as a clerk at Hy-Vee. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Austin, where she served on the Altar guild, WELCA and sang in the church choir.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Lisa (Galen) Berg of Oakland, Minn., and Penny (Sean) Gilson of Adams; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce (Everett) Stundahl of Austin, and Sue (Terry) Smith of Albert Lea; and one brother, David (Darla) Olson of Albert Lea.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, and at the church for one hour before the service on Wednesday.
