When is the Austin School District going to spend money on it’s students?
My son is taking the Automotive/Small Engine course at Austin High School. The kids who are taking that course could use a parts washer and a new set of Briggs & Stratton tools. They also need to have their two Sioux Valve grinding machines fixed so that the kids who want to go on to a mechanic program after graduation will know how to use some of this equipment. It would be nice to use the Sioux machine when working on Briggs & Stratton engines because this machine can help the kids get the correct valve tappet clearances need for the engines to run right.
Last year, Austin High School was short of textbooks. Why don’t they use some of this money to give each kid their own textbooks? They had to check out textbooks when they had to do home work. If every kid had their own textbook, the kids wouldn’t have to check them out like they were library books.
The Austin School District thought that TVs were more important than textbooks and other educational materials and equipment.
Now these new bathrooms and those big windows are more import than the kids’ education. What are our kids going to learn from the TVs, bathrooms and big windows?
