The Gamehaven Council of the Boy Scouts of America will conduct its annual Scouting for Food Drive on Saturday in Rochester.
Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Explorers and adult leaders will walk door to door to collect donations that will benefit Channel One Food Shelf.
Door hangers promoting the drive were distributed during the weekend.
To participate, residents should place donations of nonperishable food items in a box or bag by their front door by 9 a.m. Saturday. The scouts will pick it up no later than 1 p.m. and take it to the food shelf.

The most requested items included boxed dinners, canned tuna, peanut butter, cereal, canned fruit, pasta and rice. The Gamehaven Council requests that community members do not donate perishable items, baby food or items in glass jars.
