ST. PAUL — After three days of searching turned up nothing, police said Tuesday they will suspend the active search for a University of St. Thomas student who disappeared early Sunday.
Police will continue to investigate the disappearance of Daniel Zamlen, but their day-to-day search won’t continue unless authorities get specific information about his possible whereabouts.
More than 500 St. Thomas students searched for Zamlen in a St. Paul neighborhood near the Mississippi River on Monday. Authorities have been searching the dangerous river bluffs.
Zamlen is from Eveleth and turns 19 on Wednesday. He was last heard from early Sunday.
