The season opener for the Austin Packers baseball team has been postponed due to wet conditions at Dick Seltz Field.
The Packers were scheduled to start the season this afternoon at home on Seltz Field, but the Big Nine Conference game with the Winona Winhawks will have to be rescheduled.
The season opener is now tenatively scheduled for next Tuesday at home against the Faribault Falcons.
All of the recent wet weather has prevented the Packers from even practicing on their home field at the Riverland complex.
