Friday, Oct. 29

Music of the British Isles will be heard at 8 p.m. today and Saturday at the Oak Center General Store near Lake City. British folksinger Pete Morton will perform today and Laura and the Lads will play Celtic music on Saturday. Tickets for each concert are $5 to $10; patrons pay what they can afford. Saturday, Oct. 30

A Luncheon and Bazaar, sponsored by St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatfield, will begin with a sale of baked goods and crafts at 10:30 a.m. The luncheon will be served at 11 a.m. and includes turkey hotdish, cranberry salad, cabbage salad, nut breads, pies and coffee. Tickets: $6 adults, $3 ages under 12, free for preschoolers.


The current edition of the Mills Brothers, a vocal group that's been around since the 1930s, will perform at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Sheldon Theatre in Red Wing. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students. For reservations and information: 1-800-899-5759.

An Accordion-O-Rama will be held at 7 p.m. at Crossings at Carnegie art center in Zumbrota. Five accordionists from disparate backgrounds will take the stage to perform solo pieces, duets, trios and improvisational jams.
