By Brian Daly

Whether you're a golfer or not, you could win $1 million during the Rochester Senior Center Million $ Shoot-Out.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. June 19-21 and 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. June 22 at Meadow Lakes Golf Club.

Shoot as many times as you want. Cost is $5 for five shots. Two qualifying sessions are held each day (eight total). Session winners advance to 7 p.m. June 22 champion shoot-out where, if you shoot a hole-in-one, you win $1 million.

Sponsors are the Labor Club Bar, Laser 101 (KRCH) and KTTC. If no one gets a hole-in-one, closest to the hole wins the grand prize of $1,000. Players must be 18 years or older.

During each qualifying session, five prizes are awarded to the five participants who land the ball closest to the hole. Prizes can also be won in the putting contest and a new chipping event. Prizes range from $500 to $50 in value.

This year's Tee Box sponsors are C.O. Brown Agency, Domaille, First Federal, HyVee, Northern Hills Golf Club, Ranfranz Funeral Home, Sertoma Club and Wells Fargo. Meadow Lakes Senior Living will sponsor the new chipping event.

For $25, you may purchase coupon books, good for 30 shots, in advance. These books also come with an additional coupon from Meadow Lakes Golf Club that is good for two 18-hole rounds with a cart for $42. The coupon books can be purchased at the Rochester Senior Center through June 19. All proceeds benefit the Rochester Senior Citizens Center.
