Part of Seventh Street Northwest in Rochester will be closed for five days next week for construction work on a railroad crossing.
The closure, in the 2800 block, starts Monday and is scheduled to run through Friday. The Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern Railroad is replacing its crossing there.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes. The railroad has coordinated its work with the city government. Local emergency management officials have been alerted of the closure.
DM&E has been upgrading its track and crossings in the Rochester area this summer. For updates on the project, visit www.dmerail.com/construction
