Sharks defeat Roadrunners

The Stewartville-Racine Sharks defeated the Rochester Roadrunners 6-4 in Twin Rivers League action Wednesday night at Mayo Field.

The Sharks scored four times in the first inning. Chuck Krom had a two-run homer for the Sharks in the seventh inning and also doubled, giving him four RBIs for the night. Chad Falk had two hits for the Roadrunners, who saw their record drop to 1-2. The Sharks are 1-1.

Next up for the Roadrunners is a game Tuesday against Lake City at Hudson Field.

Plainview 8, Kasson 3

The Plainview Bucks had 11 hits in their first game of the season. Andy Skorr was the winning pitcher, with help from Matt Brekke, who pitched the last four innings. Matt Barrie had two hits for Plainview. The Bucks play again Friday at Lake City.
