AUSTIN -- A private graveside service for Sharon Rae Dudas will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, with the Rev. Ron Barnett officiating.
Mrs. Dudas, 68, of Mapleview, a retired home-health aide, died Monday (Oct. 11, 2004) at her home.
Sharon Rae Danielson was born May 9, 1936, in Plymouth, Iowa, and graduated from Austin High School in 1954. On Feb. 18, 1958, she married LaVerne A. Dudas at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She was a secretary for the Carpenters and Labors Union and later was a home-health aide at Sacred Heart Care Center until her retirement in 2002. Her husband died Oct. 1, 1969.
Survivors include a son, LaVerne "Al" of Austin; a daughter, Linda Dudas of Austin; two grandsons; and two sisters, Agnes (Art) Ernst of Austin and Alvira Despard of Lake City. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Worlein Funeral Home in Austin is in charge of arrangements.
