And they thought the competition was tough.
That's nothing compared to a 70-city tour, which is exactly what top 10 finalists from season 12 of the ratings-popular "So You Think You Can Dance" are about to find out, as they quite literally dance their way across America.
"So You Think You Can Dance," which eschews its question mark because, really, it's more of a challenge than it is an inquiry, has been thriving in an era of reality-based talent shows, and if you found yourself a fan of its latest season, here's who you can look forward to seeing when the tour hits the State Theater at 8 p.m. Saturday in Minneapolis: Team Stage's Gaby Diaz, Edson Juarez, Jim Nowakowski, Hailee Payne and Derek Piquette; and Team Street's Megan "Megz" Alfonso, Eddie "Neptune" Eskridge, Virgil Gadson, Jessica "JJ" Rabone and Jana "Jaja" Vankova.
Those teams take a bit of explanation. For the uninitiated, what "So You Think You Can Dance" decided to do when it hit its 12th year was to divide the dancers based on two particular styles, irrespective of gender.
This meant women were able to secure higher numbers when the top 20 dancers were picked, especially in the street style of dancing — which included freestyle, break dancing, hip-hop, and krump. The stage style dancing, which is a clever title one thinks might be trying to imply legitimacy, included ballet, ballroom, contemporary, jazz, Latin and tap.

But, really, who cares? Amazing dancers can entertain in any style they want, and the cavalcade of talent performing on this latest tour should be thrilling to witness.
You can spend as little as $43.50 for a ticket, or as much as $73.50, depending on where you sit, or you can really splurge on VIP packages, which come with all sorts of benefits and range from $150 to $750.
So, you think you can be bored? Bet not. Strap on your stage and/or street shoes and go find out.
