Rochester Mayo rode some timely hits as it snuck past Albert Lea 4-3 in Big Nine Conference softball Thursday night.

Sarah Bohlen and Ashley Stanislawski each had a hit and an RBI. Katie Garretson had an RBI and scored the winning run.

Albert Lea had plenty of baserunners, but rarely scored them. The Tigers left 12 runners on, including the bases loaded in the fourth and seventh innings. Mayo left seven stranded.

Winning pitcher was Bohlen. She went all seven innings, allowing five hits and six walks, while striking out seven.
