NEWPORT, R.I. (AP) -- With her best chance to end a 10-year drought at the U.S. Women's Open, Annika Sorenstam left nothing to chance Monday morning by steamrolling to a five-shot lead over Pat Hurst at the turn of their 18-hole playoff.
Sorenstam thought she had this won in regulation with a 30-foot birdie putt that rippled over the right edge of the cup on the 18th hole Sunday.
