AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- The; Southeast Minnesota Suns AAU girls basketball team lost its Sweet 16 game at the national 18-and-under tournament but came back to win a loser's bracket contest Tuesday in the double-elimination format.
The Suns lost to the Michigan Raiders 73-61 but then routed Next Generation 84-54 to remain alive.
The Suns, composed of girls from Rochester and area schools, were to play the Atlanta Lady Hawks in another loser's bracket game this morning. They played once in pool play earlier this week with the Suns winning, 107-77.
