ADAMS — The Southland/Grand Meadow boys golf team lost to Rushford-Peterson in a Three Rivers Conference dual meet at the Cedar River Country Club.

Rushford-Peterson won by a 170-204 in Friday’s team tally. Justin Simon and Brady Boyum of R-P were co-medalists with rounds of 40 on the day.

S/GM was led by Karsen Ulwelling and Matt Walk as they each shot rounds of 49 on the day.

"It was a tough day at the races, and R-P came to play," Southland/Grand Meadow coach Tim Brennan said.

"For whatever reason, we were not mentally ready to play. We’ve been improving in each meet, which is our goal, but (today) we took a step backwards. Put the loss on me. We’ll backup and re-group."
