Spring concert on Saturday

The Rochester Male Chorus, Rochester's "Singing Ambassadors," will present its annual spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1212 12th Ave. N.W. in Rochester.

The 40-member chorus will start the concert with patriotic numbers. Also included will be familiar songs such as "Green Grow the Lilacs," "Amazing Grace" and "Seeing Nellie Home," as well as popular musical tunes from "Man of La Mancha" and "Les Miserables."

The concert will close with religious pieces, including "Let There Be Peace on Earth."

Pre-concert music provided by Brassworks, a Rochester brass quintet, will begin at 7 p.m. Rochester Century High School senior Erik Rohde will start off the second half of the concert.

A dessert and coffee reception will be held in the church fellowship hall.


Tickets are $9 in advance and $10 at the door for adults. Tickets for children under 12 are $5 in advance or $6 at the door.
