PRESTON -- A 31-year-old Spring Valley man has been charged with three controlled substance crimes after officials found cocaine at his home.
Troy Mile Buchanan was charged Sept. 7 in Fillmore District Court with one count of a first-degree controlled substance crime and two counts of second-degree controlled substance crimes.
Buchanan could face up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine for the first-degree controlled substance crime, and 25 years in prison and a $500,000 fine for the second-degree controlled substance crimes.
According to a criminal complaint, Dodge-Fillmore-Olmsted probation agents performed an unannounced check of Buchanan's home Sept. 1. While the agents were there, Buchanan allegedly admitted using cocaine and said some still was in his kitchen.
According to the complaint, agents found 11 bags containing a 15.4 grams of cocaine.

Buchanan will next be in court Nov. 29.
