The art of Joel Starkey will be on display in the James Wegner Art Gallery at Riverland Community College through Dec. 5.
Starkey holds a master’s degree in drawing from Kansas State University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in painting and photography at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The exhibit, primarily mixed media drawings, represents Starkey’s evolving concerns.
A reception and artist talk will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 3 at the gallery. Regular gallery hours are 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays; 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays; and 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Fridays.
