Steven Floyd Bulman -- Spring Grove

SPRING GROVE -- The combined funeral for Steven Floyd Bulman and his son Travis Keith will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, with the Rev. Dick Wohlgemuth officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Bulman, 51, of Spring Grove, a farmer, and his 13-year-old son died Sunday (June 9, 2002) of injuries suffered in an auto accident near Caledonia.

Born June 8, 1951, in Waukon, Iowa, he graduated from Caledonia High School in 1969 and lived in the area all his life, except for two years while in the Army stationed in Augsburg, Germany. On June 14, 1975, he married Denise Frederickson in La Crosse, Wis. Mr. Bulman farmed in the Spring Grove, Mabel and Caledonia areas and served on the Spring Grove Township Board and the Southeastern Minnesota Ethanol Co-op Board of Directors. He was a member of Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Spring Grove and Spring Grove American Legion Post 249. He enjoyed farming and working on classic cars.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Andrew of Moody Air Force Base, Ga.; a daughter, Abby Bulman of Spring Grove; his parents, Barton and Lotus (Huffey) Bulman of Caledonia; three brothers, Bruce (Diane), Wade (LeeAnne) and Scott (Ellen); and two sisters, Vickie Gates and Jeanine (Oyvind) Lorentzen.

Friends may call at the church from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and an hour before the service Saturday.
