FOSSTON, Minn. — A radio station here went on the air a little late recently after its technical director found a man wearing only underwear sleeping inside.
Jim Offerdahl, who also serves as Fosston’s mayor, found a 29-year-old Fosston man on Sunday at the Q107 studio and called the sheriff’s office.
The man was "draped over a counter, passed out and wearing only his underwear," Offerdahl said. His wet clothes were on the floor.
The man was arrested and has been charged in Polk District Court with felony burglary and misdemeanor theft, but Offerdahl said he doesn’t think the man meant any harm.

"There appears to be no intention to steal anything or damage anything. He was just drunk, wet, cold and muddy and was looking for warmth. There is a swampy area near the station," he said.
Offerdahl went on the air Sunday at 7:30 a.m., 30 minutes late.
