HANCOCK, Minn. -- Two teen-agers were killed and two others injured when the car they were in collided with a tractor-trailer truck Tuesday afternoon near this western Minnesota town.

The identities of the victims, all males, were being withheld by authorities Tuesday night while relatives were notified.

The accident occurred when the car entered the intersection of state Highway 9 and Stevens County Road 1 and was hit broadside by the truck, authorities said.

The injured teen-agers were in serious but stable condition at Stevens County Community Medical Center in Morris Tuesday night, a supervisor at the hospital said.

The driver of the truck was treated and released.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the accident and called in a reconstruction specialist to determine what occurred.
