Who: First- and second-place singles players and doubles teams from the state's eight section tournaments.
Lourdes entrants: The Eagles have two singles players and two doubles teams who have qualified. Sisters Alyssa Palen (junior) and Alexa Palen (eighth grade) have made it in singles. The Lourdes' doubles teams are senior Natalie Scanlon and junior Rachel Tiegs, and seniors Erica Johnson and Sarah Guzinski.
Alyssa Palen was the Section 1A winner last week and finished third at state last year. Alexa Palen was the Section 1A runner-up and is at state for the first time. Johnson and Guzinski were state doubles champions last year, though they finished second to Scanlon and Tiegs in last week's tournament. Scanlon was second at state in singles last year and Tiegs was second in doubles.
Where, when: All of the action is Friday and Saturday at the Nicollet Tennis Center in Minneapolis. Singles first-round matches are 8 a.m. Friday, followed by noon quarterfinals. Doubles first round is 10 a.m., with 2 p.m. quarterfinals. Semifinals for singles and doubles are 8 a.m. Saturday, followed by 10:30 a.m. finals and third-place matches. Consolation semifinals are 8 a.m., and consolation finals at 10:30 a.m.

Rochester's entrants: Mayo is the only Rochester team represented in the individual tournament, with seniors Katie Carr and Rachael Click having made it in doubles for the third straight year. Carr and Click were fourth at state as sophomores, and third last year. They are this season's Section 1AA champions, and are believed to have a good chance to win the state title.
When, where: All of the action is Friday and Saturday, at the Northwest Athletic Club 98th St., in Bloomington. Carr and Click's first-round match is 10 a.m., followed by 2 p.m. quarterfinals. Semifinals are 8 a.m. Saturday, followed by 10:30 a.m. finals and third-place matches. Consolation semifinals are 8 a.m., and consolation finals at 10:30 a.m.
