1983 — 25 years ago

There will be an old-fashioned American bean feed at Chatfield Elementary School. Adults are $2.50, and the menu includes wieners, beans, chips, ice cream and a beverage. Proceeds go to the Chatfield Brass Band Free Music Library.

1958 — 50 years ago

With a few exceptions, Rochester residents appear to accept Daylight Savings Time. Large businesses, such as IBM and Mayo Clinic, reported no one was late today because of the time change.

1933 — 75 years ago

Requests for three "on sale" and five "off sale" beer licenses were referred to the license committee by the Rochester City Council. The council granted a license to the Park Board to sell beer at Soldiers Field.
