The legendary Minnesota blues band, Lamont Cranston, will kick off Cabaret Riverside, a new music series, Sept. 23 at the Rochester Art Center.

Cabaret Riverside will feature live music, art and food, presented by Riverside Concerts, the Rochester Art Center and Minnesota Public Radion .

; The cabaret will open at 5:30 p.m. for dining and socializing and touring the galleries before the concert. Light, casual gourmet meals, appetizers and drinks from the Redwood Room will be available for sale. Music begins at 6:30 p.m.

Cabaret Riverside events will continue once a month through December in the Grand Lobby of the new Rochester Art Center, 40 Civic Center Dr. S.E.

Tickets are $10, $8 for Rochester Art Center members or Riverside Concerts partner members, available at the door. Admission to the Rochester Art Center's galleries is included.
