Thomas B. Busch -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- A memorial service for Thomas B. Busch will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Ranfranz &; Vine Funeral Homes Chapel, with the Rev. Brenda Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery in Douglas.

Mr. Busch, 60, of rural Genoa, a longtime IBM employee, died Thursday (July 7, 2005) in Stevens Point, Wis.

He was born July 30, 1944, in Rochester. On May 6, 1972, he married Nancy Schlief at Douglas United Methodist Church in Douglas. He worked at IBM for 30 years at numerous plant and lab positions; served in the Air Force for four years; and volunteered at Ronald McDonald House and Gift of Life Transplant House. He enjoyed automobiles, auctions, photography, woodworking and his grandchildren's sports events and games.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jeffrey (Andrea) Busch of Byron and Todd Walker of Pine Island; one daughter, Rebecca Susskind of Mannheim, Germany; four grandchildren; two brothers, David (Jane) of Rochester and Paul (Marne) of Wabasha; and one sister, Barbara (David Hanson) Busch of Stockholm, Wis. His parents and a sister preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, and an hour before the service Monday at the funeral home.
