Three Rochester boys and two Rochester girls were among the soccer players who were named to the 2004 All-State First Team, which was selected by the Minnesota Soccer Coaches Association.

Rochester Mayo's Mark Zietlow is on Class AA Boys first team as a midfielder. Rochester Lourdes has forward Tyler Kodet and defender Ryan Claeys on the Class A Boys first team.

Two Lourdes girls are on the Class A first team, midfielder Melissa Tousley and goalkeeper Chelsey Turner. Caledonia's Brianna Polus was also a first team pick.

Other local players who were named All-State honorable mention included; Century forward Andrew Wilcox, John Marshall defender Greg Lucas, Lourdes forward Bayode Adafin, Caledonia defender Zach Rollins, Century defender Lauren Bergstrom, Lourdes defender Jenny Murray, and Byron forward Jenna Maggert.
