Thunder win opener

The Rochester Thunder opener their 2010 season soccer season with a 3-0 win over Real Colorado Foxes on Friday.

Mark Heath-Preston opened the scoring in the 32nd minute of the first half. He scored after taking a long pass down the middle from Justing Hoskins. Heath-Peterson scored again before the half ended on a crossing pass from Alex Evert.

A scary moment for the Thunder came late in the half. Goalie Sabastian Narvaez made a diving save and was kicked in the head in the process. He shook off the blow and stayed in the game, however.

Reserve Jaun Chang entered the game at the 14-minute mark of the second half and quickly made an impact. A short while later he sped through the Colorado defense and ripped a shot into the top corner of the net.
