Tina Mabel Dahl -- Rushford

RUSHFORD -- The funeral for Tina Mabel Dahl will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Peterson, with the Rev. Wade Davick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Dahl, 96, of Rushford, a former farm homemaker, died Friday (July 25, 2003) at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford.

Tina Mabel Jameson was born Jan. 20, 1907, in South Fork Valley, Fillmore County, grew up there and attended area schools and Rushford High School. On March 1, 1931, she married Walter Christian Dahl at the Rushford Lutheran parsonage. They farmed in the Highland Prairie area. Mr. Dahl died in 1988. She was a member of Oak Ridge Lutheran Church until 1955, when she joined Highland Prairie Lutheran Church and was active in circle and ladies aid at both churches. She enjoyed music, nature and the outdoors.

Survivors include four sons, Allan (Marion), Robert and Larry, all of Rushford, and Richard (Jennifer) of Rochester; three daughters, Janice (Henry) Lewis of Hinckley, Minn., Marilyn (Lawrence) Kapplinger of Spring Lake Park, Minn., and Karen (Donald) Edin of Cloquet, Minn.; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ernest Jameson of Rushford. Four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hoff Funeral Homes-Rushford Chapel and an hour before the service Thursday at the church.
