Elgin mixed martial artist Tommy Speer fights tonight as part of "UFC Fight Night Live" in Colorado.
This will be Speer’s first fight in the UFC since losing to Mac Danzig in the finale of the sixth season of the reality TV show "The Ultimate Fighter."
Speer, who is 9-2 as a professional, will fight Anthony Johnson (4-1) in a welterweight (170 pounds) bout.
UFC Fight Night Live begins at 6 p.m. on the Spike network. The three-hour live event will precede the debut of the seventh season of "The Ultimate Fighter," which can be seen on Spike at 9 p.m.

Speer’s fight is on the undercard and won’t be shown live. It is possible that if Speer’s fight ends in "spectacular fashion" it will be shown between the live fights.
Speer has been training for the last month in Missouri with former UFC champion Matt Hughes.
Kenny Florian and Joe Lauzon are fighting in the night’s main event. Florian and Lauzon are both former "The Ultimate Fighter" participants, and both have climbed up the lightweight rankings.
