WESTBROOK, Minn. — Authorities say they found the torso of an Andover, Minn., man burning in a bonfire in Westbrook that was being tended by his siblings.
Edwin Charles Hawes was reported missing from his home by his roommate on Thursday.
Authorities say the 46-year-old Hawes had a history of bad blood with his siblings stemming from his distribution of an inheritance from their grandmother. They say they arrived at the property of his brother’s girlfriend in the southwest corner of the state on Thursday night, doused the fire and found the torso.
Hawes had obtained a restraining order against his brother and sister.
