BYRON — A railroad crossing will be closed for five days next week to allow crews to replace the track.
The crossing, over 19th Avenue Northwest, is tentatively scheduled to close Monday morning and reopen July 24.
The crossing belongs to Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern Railroad, which has been replacing track and rebuilding crossings throughout southeastern Minnesota this summer as part of a capital improvements project.
