Trial date set in domestic assault case

RED WING — A Red Wing man is scheduled to stand trial later this month on charges that he allegedly threatened to kill a woman and assaulted her in the presence of a 23-month-old child.

Christopher Eugene Mosley, 33, of Red Wing was charged March 6 in Goodhue District Court with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, terroristic threats, domestic assault by strangulation and two counts of domestic assault.

According to a complaint, the woman told police Mosley assaulted her Feb. 25 at a residence in Red Wing. He allegedly kicked her down a flight of stairs, strangled her and chased her with a knife while the toddler was at the residence.

Mosley pleaded not guilty on March 21. His trial is scheduled for April 28.
