PEPIN, Wis. -- The revised schedule for the Lake Pepin Players Inc., the Mississippi Valley's professional theater company, features "An Evening (or afternoon as the case may be) With Mark Twain" Sept. 3-18.
The compilation includes many of the writer's most famous vignettes, such as "The Diaries of Adam and Eve," presented on stage.
Show times are at 8 p.m. Sept. 3-4, 10-11, 17-18, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sept. 5 and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Allen/Hovde Theatre in downtown Pepin. A special "Laura Days" version will be presented at noon and 2 p.m. Sept. 18. All tickets are $5.
"Chek Mates," an evening of comedy by Anton Chekov will be presented Sept. 24 through Oct. 9. "This is Rush Limbaugh...This is Rush Limbaugh on Drugs," a special pre-election edition, will run Oct. 15-30.
"Bell, Book and Candle," and "The Boys Next Door," originally scheduled for this year, will be presented in a subsequent season.
