All right, it is incredible early, but four games into their schedule the Minnesota Twins look a whole lot like last year. And that’s not a good thing. Minnesota finished four games under .500 in 2007.
The Twins — four games in — are pitching respectably, but are failing to hit in the clutch, just like last year.
But the worst news is that they are failing to get big production from the guy who is supposed to be their RBI king, Justin Morneau. Morneau, the AL MVP two years ago, slipped last season. Four games into this season, that slide continues. Morneau is hitless in his first 13 at bats.
Morneau has the ability to carry a team. Minnesota is desperate for him to do just that.
