LEROY — A vehicle apparently drove past a stop sign west of LeRoy and collided Saturday night with a vehicle carrying a family of four, according to Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi.
Authorities responded about 7 p.m. to Mower County roads 6 and 9 for a two-vehicle collision.
Ronald Davidson, 42, of Northwood, Iowa, was traveling west on Mower 6 with his wife, Michelle, 39, and their two children, ages 5 and 7, Amazi said. Davidson said he saw a fast-moving car coming north on Mower 9 and hit the brakes as the other car ran past a stop sign, Amazi said.

Davidson’s vehicle hit the side of the other car, driven by an Osage, Iowa, woman, causing both vehicles to go into the intersection’s northwest ditch, Amazi said.
The other driver, whose age was unknown, was taken by ambulance to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, where she was treated and released, Amazi said. She was the only person in her car.
Michelle Davidson sustained minor injuries.
Prosecutors will consider possible criminal charges against the other driver.
