Two injured, one critically, in Fillmore County motorcycle crash

A St. Charles man suffered life threatening injuries late Monday afternoon when his motorcycle crashed in Fillmore County.

The driver of the 2018 Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycle, identified by the Minnesota State Patrol as 33-year-old Joseph Tyler Woxland, was taken by ambulance to a hospital in La Crosse, Wis., with life-threatening injuries. His condition was not available Wednesday morning but a Gundersen Lutheran spokesperson said that Woxland had been moved from the emergency room and admitted to the hospital.

Woxland was southbound on Minnesota Highway 43 near milepost 18 in Norway Township when his motorcycle left the roadway and crashed just before 4:30 p.m. Monday, according to the State Patrol report.

His passenger, 31-year-old Natasha Lee Gilbertson, of St. Charles, was taken to the same hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.

Neither were wearing helmets, according to the report.

The Houston County Sheriff's Office assisted the State Patrol along with the Rushford Fire and Rushford Ambulance.
