ST. PAUL -- Gov. Jesse Ventura said he's putting off his plans to ride a personal watercraft the length of the Mississippi until at least next summer.
Ventura had initially planned to take the trip earlier this year.
That plan was pushed back when he was diagnosed with a blood clot in one of his lungs.
In an interview with Minnesota Public Radio on Wednesday, Ventura said a partial sponsor of the trip, watercraft manufacturer Polaris Industries, asked for another delay out of concerns about scheduling the trip around the Sept. 11 anniversary.
